OUR HUNTS AND SERVICES
Your hosts Vaughn and Donna Swanson provide the finest in outdoor accommodations. The camps consist of large wall tents with wooden floors,heaters,electric lights, bed frames with mattresses,large central cook and dining hall, as well as toilet and shower facilities. The meals rival fine restuarants anywhere and portions are always more than ample.
The guides are experienced and dedicated, providing you with a succesful, safe, and enjoyable experience. Their vehicles are always clean and in good mechanical condition. Our hunts are on private ranches with 2 hunters per guide. Hunts are primarily spot and stalk from 4 wheel drive vehicles and afoot. After many requests by clients we will be offering archery hunts starting for the 2007 hunt season for deer,antelope and elk.
The Wooden Rifle maintains a position unique to other outfitters in the Rocky Mountains. Your hunting trip is more than a hunting trip; it's a vacation and shouild not end merely because you have filled your tag. We are glad to provide camp hunters with guide service after the hunt for fishing, site seeing, prairie dog shooting, etc., for the duration of your scheduled stay at no additional cost. Our primary provider for "town hunt" accommodations is The Parkway Plaza Convention Center
